Our Technology
We believe a visit to the dentist should be a positive, pleasant experience, so Dr. Rementer has invested in modern tools and technology that increase comfort and save time. From laser dentistry to our revolutionary CEREC machine that custom-mills fine dental restorations in one visit, we bring you the best of modern dental care.
Intraoral Cameras represent a new way of looking into your mouth. A camera-tipped, pen-sized wand takes high-resolution images of your dentition and projects them onto a convenient chairside monitor. You and Dr. Rementer can look together and discuss questions and concerns.
Digital X-rays give us the same view of internal oral structures, but with a fraction of the radiation. We like getting that all-important information in a much safer way. Viewable on a chairside monitor, you won’t have to leave the chair as Dr. Rementer discusses her findings.
Air Abrasion means the end of the drill for many of our patients. Using a concentrated stream of air mixed with a mild abrasive, air abrasion is quiet, comfortable, and non-invasive. Air abrasion wipes away decay and prepares the tooth for a filling, often with no anesthetic injections.
DIAGNOdent Laser Cavity Detection provides a precise and effective means for early cavity detection. DIAGNOdent uses a laser to search over all the surfaces of your tooth and identify even the smallest areas of decay much earlier than with a visual exam alone. This means smaller fillings that are more comfortable and save more of your natural tooth structure.
Laser Dentistry can be summed up with a few words: precise, minimally invasive, and comfortable. With hard and soft tissue applications, lasers can be used to zap cavities, cure and harden dental materials, treat gum disease, even activate super-fast whitening gels. Lasers give us an unprecedented level of control and are amazingly accurate, which allows for better outcomes.
ViziLite and VELscope are the methods we use to screen for oral cancer at every checkup. By using a special light, ViziLite and VELscope can detect areas of concern better than the naked eye. Oral cancer has a very high cure rate when caught in the earliest stage and ViziLite and VELscope give us the means to protect your health more thoroughly.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography is an advanced type of digital radiography. Known as CBCT, cone beam technology provides a three-dimensional, digital image of structures beneath the teeth and gums. This unprecedented view includes teeth roots, internal canals, and bone structure. CBCT scans are similar in detail to traditional medical CTs, but require just a fraction of the time. Since the scan only takes seconds, your radiation exposure is drastically reduced. With the cone beam's precise scans, we no longer rely on two-dimensional X-rays for diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Rementer is better equiped to:
- Uncover the cause of a patient's previously undiagnosed pain.
- Plan root canal treatment.
- Contribute to precision dental implant placement, making the surgery less exploratory, less invasive, and reducing trauma to surrounding tissue for a quicker post-procedure recovery.
- Pinpoint disorders of the TMJ (temporomandibular joints) that cause headaches, teeth clenching or grinding (bruxism), or other serious issues that can negatively impact your oral health.
- Create 3D reconstructions of your upper airway to evaluate sleep apnea and snoring related issues.
